New SpotHero Integration on the Google Assistant Showcased at CES 2018
SpotHero, North America’s leading parking reservation service, has launched a new integration that enables drivers to book parking with the Google Assistant using voice commands. With the Google Assistant’s recent integration into Android Auto, drivers with Android Auto will soon be able use SpotHero and the Google Assistant to find and pay for parking on the go, completely hands-free, in more than 50 major markets across North America. Starting today, drivers can book parking with the Assistant on eligible devices, including Android phones and iPhones, simply by saying “Hey Google, book parking.”
“We are excited to announce our first integration of 2018 and a groundbreaking one at that. By working with the Google Assistant to bring voice-activated parking to drivers, we see huge opportunities to improve not only the parking experience, but the driving experience overall,” said SpotHero’s chief product officer Anthony Broad-Crawford. “At SpotHero, we built our parking mobility platform, HeroConnect, to make parking frictionless for drivers on whatever device they choose and to make integrating with our platform as easy as possible for our partners.”
At the forefront of parking and transportation technology, SpotHero’s integrations with the Google Assistant in Android Auto were on display by Google at CES 2018. Using voice commands and a variety of intuitive prompts, drivers with Android Auto will be able to find and pre-pay for parking seamlessly through SpotHero.
A top-ranked app in the Maps & Navigation category of Google Play, SpotHero is a favorite among Android users. Recently, SpotHero was a launch partner for Pay with Google, making it easier for drivers to pay for their parking easily and go. SpotHero’s latest integration with the Google Assistant in Android Auto is powered by HeroConnect, SpotHero’s end-to-end parking mobility platform. HeroConnect enables automotive, transportation, and technology companies to offer parking reservations and transactional parking functionality in their native platforms.
