Explore the use of mobile license plate recognition (LPR) technology at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Traditionally, mobile LPR in the parking industry has been used in the enforcement arena to control timed parking and identify scofflaws and/or tow list violators. CU-Boulder has recently completed successful tests beyond these traditional applications. This presentation will focus on permit-less parking and gathering data on lot utilization - made possible by LPR.
