CPPA is saying a fond farewell to Shawn McCormick who has recently accepted a position in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. Shawn was CPPA's Professional Development Chairman for the last two years and has been involved in parking operations for over 20 years. For the last ten years, Shawn has been directly involved with enforcement operations, working as a Traffic Officer with the City of Los Angeles where he was promoted to the rank of Captain. The 2011 Pacific Intermountain Parking and Transportation Association (PIPTA) Conference committee continues to make progress in their planning efforts and has recently selected the theme for the conference. The committee is excited to announce
"The Moving Forward Conference" in Vancouver, WA on July 17-19.
It is the intent of the committee to develop a program that focuses on remaining positive as we apply innovation and creativity to move through the challenges of the current economic and political environments. The good news in all of this uncertainty is that we represent an entire industry devoted to moving people from one place to the next and we are certain we can assist one another in successfully moving through these rough times. Parking and Transportation professionals are not new to the challenges of funding issues, constant legislative changes and strained public relations and have much to learn from one another as a result.
Please save the date! We invite you to move forward, to look forward, from this day forward at the 2011 PIPTA Conference at the Vancouver Hilton in Vancouver, WA on July 17-19.
