Awards of Excellence Brochure & Official Entry Form

Submissions for 2013 entries will be due by December 31, 2012.

Each year IPI recognizes and commends trends in parking facility design which are aesthetically pleasing as well as functional, green and sustainable. We also recognize innovation in parking programs and operations. This year's 31st annual IPI Awards of Excellence open competition is for public agencies, jurisdictions, institutions, organizations and corporations which own parking facilities completed or renovated since January 1, 2010, or which conduct parking programs/operations initiated since that date.

Awards of Excellence plaques and Awards of Merit certificates are given to submitted projects/operations determined by the IPI Awards of Excellence Committee to be deserving of recognition in each category.

Awards may be made in seven categories:

I.    Best design of a parking facility with fewer than 800 spaces (Official Entry Form Category I);
II.   Best design of a parking facility with 800 or more spaces (Official Entry Form Category II);
III.  Best design/implementation of a surface parking lot (Official Entry Form Category III);
IV.  Innovation in a parking operation or program and existing sustainable parking transportation program or operation (Official Entry Form Category IV);
V.   Best parking facility rehabilitation or restoration (Official Entry Form Category V);
VI.  Award for newly designed sustainable parking and transportation excellence (Official Entry Form Category VI); and
VII. Award for architectural achievement (Official Entry Form Category VII).

All submissions from Categories I, II, III, V, and VI will automatically be entered into Category VII and are NOT subject to an additional entry fee.  Submissions can be made in as many categories as you wish.

All rules, regulations and judging criteria are listed in the Official Entry Brochure for each category.

Deadline for entries will be December 31, 2012.  Entry fee is $375 per submission for IPI members and $600 for non-members. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
