Awards & Recognition Programs
IPI currently has two annual awards programs.
Awards of Excellence Competition: Since 1982, this annual competition has showcased outstanding parking facilities and innovative parking programs in a number of categories. A formal entry submission and judging process culminates in an awards presentation at IPI's Annual Conference & Expo. Awards of Merit and Honorable Mentions are also named. A publicity campaign following the announcement of the winners results in state, regional, national and international coverage for many of the winning projects.
Professional Recognition: Since 2007, this annual recognition based on nominations by self or peers, identifies a Parking Organization of the Year, a Parking Professional of the Year, a Parking Supervisor of the Year and a Parking Staff Person of the Year. In addition, each year, the current IPI Chair presents the Chairman's Award to one or two individuals for their outstanding contribution to IPI during that Chair's tenure.
Winners for both programs are announced at IPI's Annual Conference & Expo and entry and/or nominating forms are available in the Fall of the preceding year.
