FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
FREDERICKSBURG, Virginia (April 15, 2009) - The
International Parking Institute (IPI) is commemorating the 25th
anniversary of their monthly publication, The Parking
Professional.
Launched in January 1985, The Parking Professional is a trade
journal that is an integral resource for parking professionals. It
provides information regarding new technology, management practices
and a general network of parking industry news and projects.
The Parking Professional has been hailed by the Wall Street Journal
as "the [parking] industry's bible" and continues as a trusted
source to inform and educate the parking and transportation
professional.
Each month, the journal features news from all different segments
within the parking industry such as construction, enforcement,
revenue control, operations, and maintenance as well as articles
written by industry thought leaders providing different fields of
expertise pertaining to the industry.
"In reading this monthly journal, I find it to be the best source
of news and information on parking related issues," said Tracey
Bruch, CAPP, Parking Manager, City of Clearwater. "The articles
provide great management ideas that I have successfully implemented
in my own operation."
"We celebrate the work of all the previous staff and contributors
who have helped make The Parking Professional the great publication
it is today," said Shawn Conrad, CAE, Executive Director, IPI. "We
can only hope that the next 25 years are full of the same
opportunities, change and growth that these past years of
publication have allowed!"
The special 25th anniversary issue will be available in May and
will coincide with the 2009 IPI Conference & Expo in Denver May
17-20.
