International Parking Institute Introduces New, On-Demand Learning Courses for Parking Employees

Online course modules enable new parking professionals to earn certificates and build skills in customer service, conflict resolution, parking enforcement and management,
and the latest parking technologies

Fredericksburg, VA (Sept 16)  --  New and frontline parking employees usually don't have the opportunity to attend industry classes that can help them build the knowledge, skills and competencies they need on the job.  But with the International Parking Institute's new Training Without Travel on-demand learning program, any employee can now access skills-building courses on any schedule, without time out of the office. All that is needed is a computer with Internet access.

"Few people join the parking profession knowing how things really work," said Shawn Conrad, CAE, IPI's executive director. "This new IPI program gives new and frontline employees top-notch training, available at a time and place convenient to them, even at home. These courses help set a professional career path to becoming a parking professional."

Training Without Travel courses now are available for the following topics: Customer Service, Conflict Resolution, Parking Enforcement, On-Street Parking Management, and Parking Technology: Trends and Traffic Management.  Modules, which vary in length from a half hour to a few hours, are presented in an easy-to-follow format that includes a brief quiz at the end.  Individuals can progress through each course as their schedules permit, earning a certificate of completion for each module they successfully complete. IPI members can access the on-demand courses for as little as $79; for non-members, course pricing starts at $119.
