Mr. Haahs is President of his engineering and architectural design firm established in 1994.  The firm specializes in the planning and design of mixed-use parking structures.  The firm provides parking planning, design and restoration services, nationwide and internationally.

TimHaahs specializes in creating "people places" - places that not only serve people but attract them to return again and again.  He holds a BS in Civil/Urban Engineering and an MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.  In December 2012, President Obama announced his intent to nominate Mr. Haahs to serve on the Board of Directors of the National Institute of Building Sciences. In 1994, Mr. Haahs received ASCE's Structural Engineer of the Year Award. In 1998, he received the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Blue Chip Enterprise Award. In 2006 he was recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young in the Real Estate and Construction category, Philadelphia region.  The firm has recently been honored to receive a number of "Best Places To Work" awards by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Building Design & Construction Magazine, and Structural Engineer Magazine.  Tim is also a registered architect in the state of Maryland.

Mr. Haahs is active with the American Heart Association, National Transplant Assist Fund, and other charitable and religious organizations.  He has actively served the International Parking Institute as consultant member affiliate for three previous terms, serving as editor of two Parking Management Volumes in IPI's Parking 101 Series.
