The Downtown Detroit Partnership surveyed 4,000 residents about their perceptions of the downtown area and—no surprise to IPI members—parking and mobility options played a big role in the results, released last week.

While most residents said they felt safe downtown, they also said there was room for improvement in on-street parking and mobility options; more than 65 percent didn’t feel safe riding a bike downtown.
